All high schools students meet New Jersey state requirements for graduation with students receiving either regular or IEP diplomas. Each year we graduate students who go to either two or four year colleges, or who continue their Judaic studies in Israel. Upon graduation from SINAI, our students feel comfortable in their role as full-fledged members of the Jewish community. They are familiar with the Jewish laws, customs, and traditions they see and experience in their respective homes, shuls, and circle of friends. In addition, they are young men who retain a love for learning, as well as desire to continue to develop their abilities. They perceive Torah as the blueprint for whatever path they choose, and exhibit an initiative to share Torah values with others. The SINAI student undergoes a concentrated program of textual analysis, created to develop an independence in learning. The SINAI student learns how to daven, how to construct a D’var Torah, and, in addition, is given opportunities to display his ability. Our students are functionally independent in the basic laws of Judaism, such as t’fillin, kashrut, and Shabbat, and know where to go when they have questions in these areas. SINAI builds success. It takes a formerly alienated young adult and encourages him to become both proficient and comfortable as a proud Jew. From Chumash to Gemara, throughout the life cycle and calendar of the Jew, our students live the values reinforced by home and community. |
