Ms. Karp came to SINAI with 30 years of
experience as a teacher and administrator in both secular and religious
institutions. Starting as an early childhood paraprofessional in the NYC
Public Schools, she began her professional career as a special education,
K-3 resource room teacher in a public school in Lewiston, Maine. Ms. Karp
has been a Hebrew School teacher and was the founding principal of the
Central Maine Hebrew Academy. Her true calling was special education,
however, and she became the Director of Special Education of Monmouth, Maine
in 1987. After returning to NYC in 1988, she worked as the Resource Room
Coordinator at the Yeshivah of Flatbush, expanding the program to service
over 100 students. Judi Karp has been with SINAI since September 1996, starting as the Director of the Elementary Division. She became involved with the Hineni program in 2002. With advanced degrees in special education and administration and supervision, she has brought her experience and vision to the Elementary and Hineni programs at JKHA. Most recently, Ms. Karp has become the Assistant Dean. |

Mr. Jacob Weinstein has been at SINAI for three years. Mr. Weinstein received his Bachelors degree from Brooklyn College and his Masters degree from Hunter College. Prior to joining SINAI he worked at Mount SINAI Hospital for thirty five years. He was a special education teacher for twenty years and was a supervisor of child and adolescent inpatient and day educational programs for fifteen years. |
